Melton Israel Seminar
Sit in the City of David and imagine yourself a king... Visit the amphitheatre in Caesarea and remember the lure of Hellenism... Climb Masada and experience the Zealots’ last stand... Walk through a house of Jerusalem aristocracy and see the Temple outside your window...
Stand on the Golan Heights and see the vulnerability of the Galilee...
There is no greater fulfillment of the Melton promise for meaningful, relevant, challenging, experiential education than the Melton Israel Seminar. The Melton Israel Seminar is designed for prospective, current and past students of Melton.
The Melton Israel Seminar is unlike any other trip you will take to Israel. It is intellectually stimulating, thought-provoking and delves into the challenges of Israeli society today and throughout history.
Led by outstanding educators, the Melton Israel Seminar is an opportunity to test the ideas raised in Melton classes against the reality of Israel’s history and present dilemmas. It raises questions about the individual’s relationship to Israel and the Jewish community and about the Diaspora’s relationship to the State of Israel.
Like Melton itself, the seminar will not suggest clear-cut answers to the dilemmas it raises. You will leave with more questions than you could have imagined! But you will also leave with a sense of awe, memories of unforgettable experiences and firm bonds between those who have shared the adventure.
Melton Israel Seminars are conducted throughout the year for Melton students.
Visit the MELTON ISRAEL SEMINAR page on the The Florence Melton Adult Mini School website for more information and dates of upcoming seminars.
