Sydney Jewish Writers' Festival (SJWF)

The Sydney Jewish Writers' Festival is a bienniel, multi-day festival dedicated to celebrating the richness of Jewish writing.

It showcases the talents of writers from around Australia and overseas who embrace their Jewish identity (in whatever way) and/or who write on Jewish themes.

The SJWF is the only one of its kind in Australia and is steadily becoming a major event on the cultural and educational calendar of the community.

The next SJWF is scheduled for 25-28 August 2012. 

Aims of the SJWF

The SJWF is a unique, meaningful opportunity for people to engage with the wealth and diversity of contemporary Jewish writing and to celebrate our rich cultural heritage.

It is also instrumental in promoting local writing talent, including both emerging and established writers, and gives them a platform to reach new and/or Jewish audiences.
