Middle East expert with a particular interest in Governance reform and regional security. Deputy Director of the Centre for International Security Studies; paricipates in the Australian Government's Foreign Affairs Council and the Editiorial Advisory Board of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Has authored several books and recently completed a text book on the Arab-Israeli conflict, and is a regular media commentator on Middle east politics and security.
